As the years of progressivism approached in the late 1900s, there has been an increasing common trend of industrialization around the world. Albeit, industrialism can offer a multitude of different job opportunities to the public, boost the economy, and make daily activities easier to complete through various types of technologies. However, everything has its cons. As America's economic and social systems continue to develop on a larger scale, it eliminates any remnants of the worlds agricultural philosophies. Industrialism promotes the destruction of the environment, causes shifts in lifestyle trends, and negatively impacts cultural values and morality. Anti-industrialism exists as an attempt to lessen the amount of manufacturing involved with today's economic and political sectors, and help to prevent the amounts of occurrences in which these problems happen.
