Application Essay: A Career As A Dental Assistant

I am applying to study dentistry because I know this is the career I would like to preform for the rest of my life. I am a reliable person, hard working and I have a great sense of responsibility. After I obtained my high school diploma, I attended Health Sciences College and I accomplished intermediate university degree in the field of Dental Assistant. I have more than four years of experience in this field, which I believe provides me with a solid dental knowledge background, and fuels my initial motivation of being a dentist. I have gained a great amount of experiences by working in different health institutions such as Dentalia Clinics and Al-thager Hospital. I had a great chance to work closely on patients understanding their fears and gaining their trust, which I believe a main point in dental-patient relationship. I loved my work as a dental assistant and I did my best to help others, but my passion has not stopped there. My need to learn

I am driven by helping patients and reliving their pain. Participating in improving public oral health and providing dental care for those who cannot afford it is my goal. Working in dynamic team in organized and caring environment is my best career. Therefor, being a dentist is my dream that has to become true, and McGill University is my way to reach this noble goal. I hope to get the best education in this institution and to finish my bachelor degree with excellent dental knowledge theoretically and practically. In addition, I would be more than happy to contribute in making McGill University a better place for everyone by being an active member and a good student. Moreover, I am ready to participate in any volunteering opportunities to make this world a better place. I am probably not the best academic student, but I am a student who does not give up. I hope that one day I can inspire other students to not give up their dreams and to keep working hard for what they believe
