I strongly believe that Andrée de Jongh was the most outstanding heroine of Belgium. She is considered a hero of Belgium because she bothered to risk her life to help wounded soldiers she had never met before. This brave woman started in 1914 when the Germans took over. She moved to Brussels where she became a volunteer for the red cross. She helped many wounded soldiers that had been caught. Then, in 1941, which the help of a few people including her dad, Frédéric De Jongh, she built the Comet line. The Comet line was a secret trail Ms. Jongh used to lead the wounded troops to the coast so that they could be sent to England. England had modern medicine and better hospitals so the soldiers could get proper treatment. In August of that same
