George Lucas is best known for the Star Wars series. Most people have heard of him or seen a Star Wars movie or show. He made other movies than just Star Wars however. This would include his first film THX 1138 4EB later renamed to just THX 1138 which had become a flop but some critics would see a deeper meaning. He also made American Graffiti which became a phenomenon. George Lucas didn’t have much of a struggle. The main inspiration/reason for him to become a filmmaker is when he nearly died in a motor vehicle accident a few days before his high school graduation. He had first made a movie called THX 1138 4EB that caught the attention of Ford Francis. This attention would help him enter the film industry. THX 1138 was released and flopped, however he would later make American Graffiti which would be on a low budget success highly regarded as a phenomenon. After gaining back the confidence of his supporters, he started to create Star Wars and Indiana Jones, as we know these would become great movies. Lucas Would create a special effects company called Industrial Light and Magic (ILM) and a sound studio called Skywalker Sound. Pixar had started out as a small subdivision of Lucasfilm. It also seemed like an easier choice that would be smart. I like Star Wars for The Clone Wars Era because I like the clones. They were the main army of the grand republic and even though they were all pretty much the exact same each had their own personality and fought for what they believed was right. This is like our current military except the clone part, for the soldiers fight for what they believe in. This is the main reason, but the clones even if they were severely outnumbered, they wouldn’t give up and would protect each other until they either died or they were able to defend for backup to arrive for they seen each other as brothers since they had been together for all of their

There are many ways that the video “Star Wars Legacy Revealed” connects to my life and my journey. There are three main ideas that connected with my life. The first one is how king arther was the boss and the leader. Through my life my Dad has been the main leader and the king of the house. When ever I got in trouble he would be the one to always yell at me and put me in my place. Even when it wasn't me and it was my brother he would still put my brother in his place. The next reason is how luke was the hero in all the movies when he came into the picture. He was just like odysseus how he was the savior. I always looked at my brother as he was the savior in my eyes. When ever I was having a bad day he was always there to see what was wrong

George Lucas is the producer of Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones the movie that my mini-painting is from. Lucas was born on the 14th of May in 1944, 21 years prior to his first produced film. Lucas was in the art period of cinematography from 1965-2013, his year of semi-retirement. He stopped making big films that year, because he wanted to hand his biggest series, Star Wars to the next generation. He still helps out to make sure the continuity is good, and they don’t forget anything or add something extra that should not be in the films.
George Lucas was a successful person because he made Star Wars which is really popular.

Quite possibly one of the most iconic openings in cinematic history is “A Long time ago in a galaxy far far away.” Of course, I am referring to Star Wars. It is such a fascinating and great movie going experience. There have been a total of seven Star Wars films, but in this essay I am going to be focusing on Star Wars: Episode 3- Revenge of the Sith. This film was written and directed by George Lucas and of the science fiction genre. Revenge of the Sith was released in theaters on May 19, 2005.
It is surely undeniable that the Star Wars movies have had one of the biggest impacts of all time on sci-fi film and more importantly on pop culture. The six films combined with the countless remediations, such as toys, video games, and spin-off shows, have made the Star Wars franchise a holder of the Guinness World Records title “World’s most successful film merchandising franchise”. So what exactly made these movies so wildly successful and loved by all that they spawned this huge amount of remediations? That question doesn’t have just one answer; there are many different reasons why these films were and still continue to be cherished by people of all ages. Some of these reasons are the outstanding characters, imaginative fictional technology, and the classic fight between good and evil.
George Lucas wrote and directed Star Wars, he had tons of creative and production control just like Hitchcock. Furthermore, the film demonstrates his aesthetic vision through recurring themes of good verse evil, heroes fighting for good and saving the day. Lastly, the film demonstrates thematic and stylistic consistencies to create the meaningful narrative. One thing that stands out from Star Wars that illustrates George Lucas’ control over the production is the credits. He did not want the credits at the beginning of the film so the audience can focus on the narrative. In the late 1950’s the auteur theory was introduced to filmmaking which created a new way of making films. Auteur theory went against the classical narrative by focusing on realism. Auteur films had ambiguous endings, which deeper into the character’s physiological state. Even though, Star Wars demonstrates certain auteur elements, it does not go against the classical narrative. To conclude, Star Wars mixed classical Hollywood techniques with the auteur theory that lead to a different and unique way of making a
