Winter in Wakanda was an interesting experience, mostly because it didn 't feel like Christmas at all. The country, while having its own gods and religion, still celebrated the holiday. It was in a much more toned down fashion compared to what happened in the United States, but it was celebrated all the same. You really didn 't mind that it was a quiet celebration, it just didn 't feel like Christmas this year anyway, probably because of the lack of snow. Besides, being away from your friends and family made it hard to feel anything this season but homesick.

Even though you were terribly lonely, you didn’t say anything. While you were homesick, you weren’t one of the most wanted people in the world. You might miss your home, but Wanda didn’t have a home to go back to. Scott and Clint were missing their children, something you couldn’t even imagine having to do at Christmas. Steve’s best friend was literally frozen. So, you kept it to yourself, trying to do the best to make sure everyone could find whatever happiness during the season you could. That had translated into baking enough cookies, pies, cakes, and making candies to probably feed all of Wakanda, at least the palace staff. …show more content…

Early in the morning, before the scientists got up, you made your way to see that person. Bucky Barnes was kept in one of the labs where the scientists attempted to figure out how to block or erase the Winter Solider programming. However, in those early morning hours, you would sit in the floor in front of his cyrofreeze chamber and talk to him. The first time you had done it, it felt weird, but now it was almost therapeutic.
