4- Analysis of Wale’s leadership capabilities and style through transformation leadership theory

With the numerous number of the leadership theories that are exists, one approach have attract significant attention over the past periods is transformational leadership (Seungmo and others, 2012) 1. Transformational leadership identifies a leader who make out a change, develops a vision and plan the action to achieve and executes the preferred change with the commitment of the followers (Burns 1978) 1. It can be stated that Omran's CEO represented a transformational leadership style.

Simola et al. (2012) defined transformational leadership as a “type of leadership in which interactions between interested parties are organized around a collective purpose in such a way that transform, motivate, and enhance the actions and ethical aspirations of followers”. Transformational leaders are seen as very successful at motivating and inspiring a group of individuals or followers to have an increased desire to achieve and attain a particular vision [1] 1. All of this requires a leader with “vision, self confidence, and inner strength to argue successfully for what is popular or is acceptable according to established wisdom of the time” [1, p.17] 1. In this respect, Wael have ensured at the beginning of his role in Omran to interact with all the employees in order to get a clear vision about the way forward of Omran future in a very inspired and motivated speech and behaviors.

Bass [1] suggested four components for transformational leadership:

Understanding the four components of transformational leadership help a leader apply this approach. According to Northouse (2001), a transformational leader has the following qualities:
• creates the organization vision, using employees in the organization;
• considered as a strong role model with high values
• empowers members/followers to do what is best for the firm
• listens to the various viewpoints in order to be able to develop a spirit of cooperation;
• acts as a change instrument within the organization through setting an example of how to initiate and execute change;
• helps to achieve the organization goals through helping others contribute to the organization.
Through comparison of the stated capabilities and behavior of the chosen leader it can be confirmed that he have most of the suggested qualities.
