If it had fallen backward, it might have crushed even more of the camp. Instead, it toppled forward”(Trials of Apollo). This shows that through all of the hardships and challenges that Apollo had gone through, he still came out on top. Instead of giving up at any sign of trouble, he faced it and kept persevering. If he wouldn’t have persevered then Camp Halfblood would have been turned into ruble and debris. A second demonstration of his perseverance is, “My second instinct was to turn to Meg McCaffrey. Her absence felt like a Colossus stomping upon my heart”(Trials of Apollo). This explains that even after the betrayel of Meg, he continued to fight the beast and save the Camp HalfBlood.
