An organization aim is to make a profit and have a sustainable competitive advantage, as such Soca- Hype accomplished this with the Rollie Pollie Rider (RR). However, the public and media are creating socio- ethical implications. To begin with, Trinidad and Tobago is located in the Caribbean which is extremely humid, therefore the choice of clothing is much more revealing as compared to the rest of the world. One can easily say that Caribbean people has the right and freedom of choice to choose what to wear. Therefore, there is an existing diversity of religions, traditions and cultural practices. Soca-Hype Garment Limited has a long-standing reputation in the production of casual and elegant clothing for both men and women. For decades, Soca-Hype has been able to build a strong relationship with their stakeholders and customers. The production of the Rollie-Pollie Rider (RR); a female shorts designed to gain a competitive advantage in the market and aim to inform consumers about their new clothing line which is purely a business strategy to maximize their profits. The Rollie Pollie case shows no sign of breach of law and to extend the local constitution of Trinidad and Tobago states nothing about law of clothing. Where ethics may play a part Soca-Hype garments shows lack of ethics because nothing was stated to the john public about the dangerous effects of wearing their Rollie Pollie Rider garment. Their ethical motive is to sell and make money from the Rollie Pollie Rider and not promote any sort of negativity towards their shorts, therefore the Soca-Hype garment may have fallen short in the ethical depart of this case.
