If mankind didn't depend on the Earth's natural resources, we wouldn't be a consumer nation that constantly damages the Earth. In WALL-E, they should the future of mankind with new technologies and demonstrated how the progresses through time. In the film, the humans are only shown to be mindless consumers. Kent Jones believe that these are similar sights in ¨WALL-E's vision of a space-station paradise in which overstuffed and under muscled humans float from hour to hour, communicating with one another on screens inches away from their faces without any actual human contact. The plant is a symbolic of hope for a new beginning for humanity after wasting their lives alway on ship. This scene is where the caption is holding the plant, and is excited to see that there is a sustainable life source back on Earth. The caption robot steering wheel, Auto, represents people disregarded the environment and wants to continue to avoid this predicament. Auto reasoning behind this from a video made in 2110 from a former president telling him to never go back to the Earth, because it isn't worth saving. The video is important because it tells us that humans ran away from Earth, because they thought Earth was unstable, and was too environmentally damage to keep surviving against the human race. It ends with the former president freaking out by leaving the Earth to continue to be a wasteland. The past president represents the people who believe that they couldn't fix the environment, therefore the had to abandoned it and go away on a ship. The dialogue between Auto and the captain is very influential and important to this scene. Auto tries to prevent the captain from going away to Earth, and is trying to obey his orders that were given to him from the past. The movie illustrates that when mankind progresses, we will disregard the environment and our surroundings. We will become mindless consumers who don't take anything for granted. Causing us to ruin the Earth by polluted it making Climate Change spread rapidly. WALL-E helped us recognize mankind's mistake, warning us about our possible future. WALL-E gave us hope to change our perspective on Climate Change. The signal plant in WALL-E, gave the people hope to reclaim the Earth again. Like Evo Morales, said ¨Sooner or later, we will have to recognise that the Earth has rights, too, to live without polluting. What mankind must know is that human beings cannot live without Mother Earth, but the planet can live without humans.¨ The more recognition this epidemic has on how mankind is destroying Earth. Together, mankind needs to stop abusing the Earth to sustain its natural resources and decrease greenhouse gas emissions, pollution, water quality, and the human dependence of natural resources.
