The story Othello can relate to some problems in today’s society. In Othello the story is led by jealousy and anger. This leads to murder by Othello killing his wife and himself. Today it will also lead to murder of a wife and the kids depending on the person. In both cases the person often plays a role in their own demise. In the story Othello, Othello and Cassio are the reason for their own destruction.
Othello is the military general for the Venice army. One thing that stands out about Othello that he is black. He surrounded by white people he is the only black man involved in the story. Othello is in love with Desdemona and she is white. It is already hard to believe as people accuse him of witch craft and casting spells on her. Iago is the mastermind behind the entire situation. He is like the trickster who doesn’t get caught till he has ruined everyone. Cassio is Othello’s lieutenant and he also plays right into Iago’s plans.
Othello he is a very naive person he can really be tricked by anyone if they really tried. Even if that’s the case Iago ends up making Othello destroy himself. Othello being ion the position he is in feels like he has to prove himself in some way. Even though the kings trust him he wants
