The Ukrainian dancers performed a modern-day Hopak where the choreographed dance is made to appear improvised. The improvised parts of Hopak involve solos, duets, trios dancers, performing visually and technically amazing acrobatic feats. These includes spins and jumps. The rest of Hopak includes many movements performed in unison. A successful Hopak requires speed and energy, the dancers, do not stop moving until the end of the dance.
I enjoyed having Andras in class and he should be very proud of his One World performances, all three show were excellent. His acrobatic solo was outstanding. Diana should be very proud of her performances at One World, all three performances were outstanding. She was able to commit herself to the Hopak choreography, by being able to do each Ukrainian step well. Diana would always bring a positive attitude to class and consistently did her best in class and it showed with her performances. Well done, on three excellent performances. Emma Biskup
