Welcome Everyone! I am honored to be a part of the graduating PN Class 47. I want to start off by thanking Wes Watkins Technology Center and all the staff that have helped us get to where we are, for it is a life changing opportunity. It truly is a wonderful privilege.
To our instructors, thank you for sticking with us, for insisting that we not give up. That we strive to be, not only, the best nurses we can be, but also the best people we can be. You ladies never gave up on us, you pushed us through, and here we are graduating. And for that I, no we, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Also, we would like to thank Linda Sanford, for stepping up to the plate and getting us to where we needed to be. Fourteen months ago we started this journey with absolutely no idea how difficult it would get, for not only ourselves but our families and friends that support us. As we introduced ourselves to each other all those months ago, I realized that many of us put our lives on hold, our families on hold. We missed important first days of preschool, and ballgames. Fortunately for me, I am surrounded by a great group of present and future LPN’s, who won’t let me fall. So finally, to my classmates, we have spent the last fourteen months studying, practicing, and aiming for perfection. And we did it! Today is a bittersweet occasion, it is the beginning of something great, but yet the last time we will be together as a class. I hope each of you cherishes the journey that has led us here, I know I will. I believe that each of you will succeed whether it be furthering you education or going into the job field, because I’ve been here with you every step of the way. I know what great people you are, what great nurses you will become, and what great friends you have been. Thank you classmates and friends for sharing these last fourteen months with
