Throughout my high school years, my educational experience had its ups and downs. Being in college has given me a lot of flash backs from high school. Some of these flash backs include the challenges, the changes, and the different maturity levels which has had a major impact on my educational experience in life. After realizing that there are differences between high school and college, I began to see that high school was just preparation of being in college. When you look back at your high school career, high school was not so much as a challenge, we as high school students had our high school education easy. In high school I had my teachers and parents, keeping me on track with doing my homework, making sure everything else was going quit fine. No one is there for you like that in college; college develops you to take the lead in becoming a strong leader and also taking responsibilities in your classes. When you think about it college it’s almost like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, and there isn’t anyone here to make sure you turn in your homework or get to class on time. In college everything is all on you so if you miss class, fail a class, or start not to have that no care attitude, you have no one to blame but yourself. Taking responsibility for your actions is something every freshman in college is going to have to learn how to do. If not then they’re going to struggle, and stress all four years or however long they plan to be in college. As students if we want to make our college years fun we going to have to step up and take our responsibilities for our actions. Once you began to mature within yourself and develop to learn how to take responsibilities in your actions. Your college experiences will go by so smoothly, fun, and less
