Have you ever wondered what it would be like to travel to another dimension? To travel somewhere, grow up and come back as the younger version of yourself but still having all the knowledge of your previous life? If your morals and beliefs were completely tested by the dimension you’ve entered. Would you still enter it? What if you had no choice?Alice in wonderland and The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe are two novels that have the perfect combination of magic, imagination and fantasy which gives us the power to use a child’s like sense of wonder. Each book also differs in terms of morals which will be argued through the use of the events, quotes, and characters. Moral principles such as honesty and integrity, courage, forgiveness, and self-sacrifice will be discussed in The Lion, The Witch, and The wardrobe. As for Alice in wonderland, the story is almost introverted as the morals are basically thrown out the window once Alice reaches Wonderland. Within each novel, time is perceived differently when entering and exiting the portals which will be further discussed. The two novels start off with a young girl entering a world that isn’t their own. In Alice in wonderland, Alice chases a little white rabbit causing her to fall down into a rabbit hole entering wonderland and in The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe the youngest child Lucy stubbles into Narnia because her curiosity got the better of her with the wardrobe. Both young girls were confused at first, not knowing where they were. Alice finds a little doorway not much larger than a rat hole and Lucy stubbles upon a lamp post. Both confused with what to do Alice finds her instructions and follows through where Lucy is approached by Mr. Tumnus. The difference between the two ... ... middle of paper ... ...owers. No one really stood in her way but Aslan knew he needed to take back what was rightfully his. With the help of the four children destined to become the Kings and Queens of Narnia they fought a battle for the ages and broke the witches curse. Both books gave you adventure, hope, life issues, fantasy and imagination. Theissues in each novel are arguable because you can get so many different messages from each sentence. You could return from the one dimension but the other was a dream making it harder for Alice to return. One novel is confusing in the sense of its word play. The way the riddles are unsolvable and the way it makes Alice feel. The other is very religious, showing you true tragedy in the story of the four children. Morals are presented, questioned, and learnt, and time is perceived differently in each book after coming out of the second world.
