Leadership can be difficult to define and sometimes more difficult to attain. There are are a multitude of different leadership styles and each can work effectively in a given environment. Some styles that work in some environments fail in others. As far as the leadership of Alaskan Airlines, they seem to be doing something right. The chairman and chief executive officer of Alaska Air Group and its two subsidiaries (Alaska Airlines and Horizon) is Brad Tilden.
