Age Restrictions Should Be Allowed In High School

Throughout life, we are told what we can and cannot do because of our age. Whether we are told straight face to face or through things like age restrictions. For the people who don’t know what restrictions are they are the limitation or control of someone or something, or the state of being limited or restricted. We are restricted on many things such a driving, getting married, drinking, purchasing tobacco, and the dropout age of minors. Although there are good reasons why it is this way, I believe that they should handle these things differently.I believe that there should be these restrictions but instead of age, they should be based on maturity compared to the original tradition of the person's age. If driving a vehicle was based on maturity instead of age we would see a complete difference on the roadways. They also need to finish the school year so that if they thought about it over the summer they will not have to repeat the school year which will make it harder on them. I know that repeating the school year will make it harder for them to want to go through with coming back to school because it will make them feel stupid and out of place. My stepfather was this way he dropped out of school when he was in 11th grade and tried coming back to complete it but would not accept him until the next school year to repeat the grade so he said no and went and became a U.S. naval pilot and military police and is now a successful cop.
