A burning issue in South Africa which affects the educational system of South Africa

Worldview is a set of an individual’s beliefs which shape our doing, thinking and also how we take decisions in our lives, and the role we play in the world. My worldview is that I exist because God created me to fulfil a certain purpose in the world. As Christians from the bible we are taught that we should give and it shall be given to us, with that being said South Africa is facing one of the biggest challenges which is poverty. Poverty can be defined as “a condition in which the basic needs of human beings such as shelter, food and clothing are not being met” (E. Prozesky, 2009:187). So instead of worrying and wondering how they will survive the situation they use that as their stepping stone towards their goals, and they become determined to work even hard to get out of poverty.
Disadvantage of poverty can be that in cases where the household has so many individuals who are perhaps dependant to a single parent, can result in an older child deciding to drop out to school that is if they ae attend to at least look for a job to help the parent. This in a way gives a child the responsibility to act as an elder which is not acceptable because it is denying the child the opportunity to go to school and work towards their dreams like any other child in South …show more content…

Based on the advantages and the disadvantages it can concluded that it is rare to find young people who are affected by poverty using that as a positive thing to work hard to change the situation and make a success out of the situation, so what can be done is for the South African government to help people who are suffering from poverty to live a normal life like any south African citizen, that can be done by opening many opportunities that will decrease the rate of poverty in our
