Throughout my career at WHS, I have maintained nearly perfect grades and worked hard to excel – not just to earn an A, but to fully understand the material. I have taken every advanced course offered to me and more. I have taken 7 AP tests and earned 7 5’s. I scored nearly perfect on the SAT (superscore of 2380), nearly perfect on the ACT (raw score of 35.25), and have pushed myself by taking AP courses over the summer and performing well in ACP classes. The rigor of my classes has allowed me to earn a GPA of almost 4.6, and I’m still ready for more.

The needed change in ASI’s training program will provide for several adjustments within the workplace. The changes associated with implementing the new training process will affect other aspects of ASI and impact employees. Firstly, reporting will change as a sponsor will report on the new hire and the new hire will likewise report the experience they had will their sponsor. Both will report to management so management may review both as completely as possible. The sponsor will be able to give more in general and more immediate feedback. This will be added to sponsors listing of duties as well as the reaction of the new hire. This will better benefit the sponsor and trainee as the sponsor can affectively teach and the trainee can learn in real time instead of going over something months later with a random co-worker.
Attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is one of the most common childhood disorders. ADHD is a broad term, and the condition can vary from person to person. There are an estimated 6.4 million diagnosed children in the United States, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The condition is also known as attention deficit disorder (ADD), though this is considered an outdated term. The American Psychiatric Association released the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, Fifth Edition (DSM-5) in May 2013. The DSM-5 changed the criteria necessary to diagnose someone with ADHD.

We have also all known a schoolgirl who looks out the window quietly daydreaming instead of paying attention to the teacher. We now know that the hyperactive boy has a neurological disorder called attention deficit hyperactive disorder (ADHD) (Hallowell & Ratey, 1994; Latham, 2000). Experts recently have agreed that the daydreaming girl also has ADHD - sometimes called ADD because it occurs without hyperactivity (Hallowell & Ratey, 1994). The subject came so naturally to me and I decided to continue my enrollment in sports medicine courses throughout my high school education. As my senior year of high school concluded, I explored the idea of a career in physical therapy by job shadowing at the Idaho Sports Medicine Institute (ISMI). After observing the PTs at ISMI, I was immediately drawn to a career in physical medicine. A few months later, I started my education at Idaho State and felt exactly like I did when I started sports medicine in high school. I was absolutely enthralled with my classes, naturally excelled in all of my coursework, and always had PT school in the back of my mind. I knew I would have to work extremely hard to develop a strong undergraduate transcript and build a competitive application. Throughout my undergraduate career, I have worked relentlessly to maintain academic excellence and currently have a 3.91 GPA. I have also succeeded in making the College of Education’s Dean’s List for five semesters. All of my flaws and failures have contributed towards my learning experience. It has taught me the importance of accountability, work-life balance, and perseverance through hardships. By ending my bachelor academic career with high praise, I have adapted to these conditions and believe in my potential to reach my academic and life goals. I took five classes this semester-psychology of adjustment(PSYC 2150), intro to statistics (STAT 1222), western history and culture (LBST 2101), college transition (UCOL 1000) and the science and practice of psychology (PSYC 1000). My initial goal was to make an A in each class, except intro to statistics. However, after the first exam in psychology of adjustment and did some calculations and became awake of the fact that I could still make a 3.6 GPA if I made a B in two classes.
