Adam Richard Sandler was born in Brooklyn NY on September 9th 1966. His mother (a nursery school teacher) Judy Sandler, and father (an electrical engineer and voice actor) Stanly Sandler, were proud to welcome their newborn son into the world. Adam has three siblings: Scott, Elizabeth, and Valerie. The family moved to Manchester New Hampshire when Adam was six years old. Once his brother finally convinced him, he got his fist acting job as "Smitty' on the Cosby Show. He graduated from the NY school of the fine arts, in 1988, and began his search for roles. While on his search, Adam was working part time as a comedian at a club called "The Boston Club'. He landed his first BIG role in the 1987-1990 TV game show "Remote control."
In 1989 Adam scored a leading role in the movie "Going Over Board". The film is rated only one star, but it was still his fist big movie. He was working on the popular late night show "Saturday Night Live."
