Traditional medicine has been gaining a lot of popularity among western citizen and society these days. This is as more patients and health practitioner take a holistic approach to treatment and healing. Among such alternative medicine is acupuncture. How acupuncture works is fairly straightforward. It helps the body deal with insufficient energy flows when their natural flow becomes clogged. This clogging of energy flow can weaken the body making the body susceptible to illness. Acupuncture is thus meant to reverse this energy flow and start the body's own healing process.
