When it comes to learning, everyone wants to gain knowledge in the most efficient way. If you have ever worked as a teacher or even been a student in classroom, you likely know not everyone learns in exactly the same manner. Maybe you have encountered a friend trying to explain a concept to you, and it just does not click, but later someone shows you the concept in a different way, and it makes sense right away. Those with a logical-mathematical learning style are good with numbers as well as figuring out things logically. They can recognize patterns and like to work through problems in a step-by-step matter.
If you have a logical-mathematical learning style, you can often learn key information by creating a list. This type of learner often works well with bullet points, which illustrate the key facts. Sometimes it is also helpful for them to be able to check things off a list as they learn the concept or as they complete tasks. They also may enjoy puzzles and games that require logical thinking, including Sudoku, chess, and Solitaire-like card games.
Intrapersonal
Those with an intrapersonal learning style work best when given time to work alone. This means they do not get as much out of the learning process when working or studying in a group. They often need time by themselves to think and reflect. This does not mean the intrapersonal learner is antisocial or does not like being around people. If you are good with words and possess a large vocabulary, you are probably high in linguistic learning skills. This sort of learner is good at communicating. They often learn by reading, writing, and explaining concepts to others. They might also benefit from rewriting notes, particularly when reviewing difficult concepts. They often enjoy word puzzles and games, including cross word puzzles, word searches, and games such as Scrabble.
Because the actual words are such an important part of a linguist learner’s learning process, flashcards for vocabulary terms or for important concepts can help a linguist learner remember important terms and facts. Students should be given the option to take accelerated classes because although they may show poor results, being challenged may trigger intelligence and more potential to continue on with accelerated classes. Along with given the option to take accelerated classes the educational system should also adjust in the way of providing courses to remain creativity alive within the student throughout their whole life, instead of blocking it out and keeping them focused on just the subjects of English and math.
I have always had a type of sweet spot for color in my notes, but I do not highlight that often. I believe that if I started, it might help out a little. When I associate colors with what I write down, it also helps me to remember. Maybe that would suffice as another technique to assist my skills. When it comes to vocabulary, I am not that great. If I see a word I do not know, I use context clues to try to figure it out. However, if I can not figure it out, I honestly just skip over it. I suppose that could really be a problem at some point. Most people have one preferred learning style and perform to a lesser standard when learning in a different style than what they’re used to. Nowadays, children are told to take a quiz in school to determine what their preferred learning style is, but after a few years, not many of these children remember what their preferred learning style is, or even if they do, they don’t apply it to their learning.

Personal learning styles are highly complex and unique to specific individuals. It is often difficult to pinpoint an exact learning style. Though there are different categories, we often fine tune them to our own abilities. By examining our traits and tendencies we create a clearer understanding of how we process and learn information. With careful review, I have developed a specific analysis of my learning characteristics, including an evaluation of skill levels. Based on what I have recently learned and know from experience, I have also devised a structured plan for improvement of time management and study skills.

That is why there is many different learning styles to suit every person. There is three different types of learning styles categorized. The first learning style is auditory. Auditory is meant for individuals that enjoy asking questions, talking and listening, as well as like to read out loud. Visual learners are more interested in charts, graphs, neat surroundings, seeing rather than hearing, and are pictured to be timid as they read to themselves rather than out loud. Finally there is the kinesthetic learning style. Kinesthetic is to touch, to feel, and usually learn by doing.
Thought out our lives, we are faced with many different learning experiences. Some of these experiences have made a better impact than others. This can be attributed to everyone’s different multiple intelligences or learning styles. A persons learning style is the method though which they gain information about their environment. As a teacher, it is our responsibility to know these styles, so we can reach each of our students and use all of the necessary methods.
When you step back and look at the big picture of life, you will notice that the concept of learning plays an essential role in it. What you learn and how you learn is your key to life success and it can open a multitude of doors for you along the way. Learning, however, is routine and much like other activities that are routine such as brushing your teeth or eating meals, you begin to think less and less about what you are doing or how you have been doing it. I never actually put too much thought into how I learned or the origins of my learning experience, but after reflecting on the ideas I have been able to clearly identify the manners in which I have learned and how I can transform my learning experience
Good reading skills are very important in learning languages. Reading improves spelling because as students learn to sound out letters and words, spelling comes easier. It helps to expand the vocabulary, since the best way to acquire a large vocabulary is to read. Students learn new words as they read and put them in their mind for later use. . They also unconsciously absorb the information about things like how to structure the sentences, how words are used in different contexts, and it gives a better understanding of the word usage and definitions than the cold facts of a dictionary. It improves a person’s vocabulary and knowledge without the person even knowing it. Even if students do not understand every word, they will hear new sounds, words and phrases which they can then try out, copying what they have heard. They can comprehend ideas, follow arguments and detect implications. Reading texts also provide good models for English writing. Krashen (2004) found that reading is extremely important in learning English, since it is the only way to “become a good reader, develop a good writing style, an adequate vocabulary, advanced grammar” and the only way to “become a good speller”.
Simple approaches and flexible means are the key to effective learning. Monotony and regimentalized fashion of learning is usually not recommended for the growing minds to ensure that the minds remain open and accept more stimuli from the surroundings.
