All things don’t last forever so make the best out of them. People get old and sick and die so we need to cherish it.This universal theme ties in with everyone.Like in the folk tale “The Grandfather and His Little Grandson” and the poem “Abuelito Who”.Leo Tolstyoy’s Russian folk tale “The Grandfather and His Little Grandson” and Sandra Cisnero’s poem “Abuelito Who’ have the same universal theme about the importance of grandchildren always loving and respecting their grandparents. In “The Grandfather and His Little Grandson,” a Russian folk tale, the old and weak grandfather isn't treated right by his son and his daughter in law and seen as a nuisance by them.The daughter in law sees him more as a nuisance because on lines 9-11 in the folk tale, she scolds the grandfather for breaking a bowl and states that he breaks everything in the house.
