On the sad day April 15th, 1865 Abraham was assassinated. This tragedy happened in a theater by a guy named John Wilkes Booth. He will be forever missed by his friends and family. Abraham was born on February 12, 1808 in Hodgenville, KY. He is the child of Nancy and Thomas Lincoln. He was also a very loving husband to his wife Mary and to his children. When Abraham was a little boy he was limited to a little amount of schooling because he had to support his family. He also had many jobs while he was young like a shopkeeper and a postmaster. Working with many people he started to support local politics and support the whig party. He also started to think more about the issue of slavery and opposed slavery spreading further and further.
