Abortion is a serious issue and ethical dilemma that touches moral, religious, and ideological points. The right to live is protected by the constitution and has been debated on for decades. Major concerns revolve around choice, morality, and safety of the act. Those who support abortion state the reasons of freedom of choice and that the mother should be able to choose what happens to her body. Meanwhile, those who are against abortion give reasons of morality and the safety of the mother who decides to undertake abortion. Abortion in the United States was made contitutional in 1973 following the case of Roe v. Wade.
