From its iconic album cover photo to its famous vocals sung by Paul McCartney, Abbey Road has proven to be one of the best albums in music history. Abbey Road is the eleventh album produced by the English rock band, The Beatles. Released September 26, 1969, it was the last album The Beatles produced while all four were together. Still today, it is one of the best selling albums of all time with more than 35 million copies sold and counting. As Apple Records creative director John Kosh said, "We didn't need to write the band's name on the cover ... They were already the most famous band in the world".

I think that is why the Beatles were so successful, because they were different and unusual at the time. And people (myself included) enjoy different things. This is the case with movies, books, personalities, and music. But, it is beautiful at the same time.“Here come old flattop, he come grooving up slowly. He got joo-joo eyeball, he one holy roller. He got hair down to his knee.” Quotes like these almost baffle you in a way, and make you think. The words in the songs astonish me while touching my heart at the same time. At the time Abbey Road was written, the world was a little bit of a mess. Vietnam War, drugs, and race were all an issue. This music really reflects that time. Laid back and “high on life” type of sound.

In the eight-track album, there is not one “duff” in the whole thing. Forty-five years later the album still sounds fresh and exciting. While most of the album is relaxed and slow, there are a couple songs that make you stand up and boogie down such as “Polythene Pam” and “Octopus's Garden”. What is also truly amazing is how the group was able to produce a great sounding album despite their disagreements. With John Lennon wanting to leave the group and Paul McCartney wanting to do his own type of music, they still managed to somehow “Come Together” and create one of the best albums of all
