I was born in 1985 in what I recalled as a third world country. Born in a hut made out of mud and who knows what. A village where people gather to watch one box tv no bigger than 20 inches. Indoor plumbing was nonexistent. I learned the English language watching TV programs and continued with English as my second language (ESL) until the third grade. Fast-forward to 2014, when I had separated from the US Air Force after ten years and one month of service, I started asking myself, will future Jayson thank me for this action or will he be cursing me out? So far, I must say, I have been patting myself on the back for the life choices that I have made to get me to this point where I am applying to Northeastern University. The life I have lived thus far has prepared me for success and has taught me to embrace and be accountable for my failures. My last three years in the Air Force, I was part of a "Premier" Investigative Agency known as The Air Force Office of Special Investigation (USAF OSI). AFOSI Agency is known to be like the FBI of the Air Force. We dealt with the 1% of the Air Force involved in Federal level crimes. I remember thinking, “This job is no longer adding any value to my life.” Suicides, rapes, drugs, and a lot of paperwork was not how I wanted to live my life, so I decided to make a change. Though to be truthful, if you asked me to do it all over again, I would not think twice about it and do it again, with minor changes of course. AFOSI is where worked with some of the greatest people I have ever meet. One of them, Mr. Taylor, (former) Special Agent in Charge, actually called me up after two years with minimal contact and recommended I apply for a job at Northrop
