Undercover police hides his identity by dressing like a civilian on the street to protect the society. Super heroes like Iron Man is nothing different from the roles of those undercover officers. Iron Man, also known as Tony Stark, has been living two distinct lives as a Marvel hero in California, which Jon Favreau uses camera angles to present Iron Man’s life and the life of a firearm manufacturer. Additionally, actors’ costumes serves as elements to show Tony’s double lives. Iron Man and Tony’s life shares similarities that makes his role different from other superheroes. Tony Stark being as the son of the largest military weapon manufacturer, has already being exposed to the public as a celebrity. Thus far, none of the other Marvel characters shared the same identity as Tony. For instance, Spiderman remains mysterious by hiding himself as a normal college student in New York City. Therefore, Tony lives in a life, which allows him to get in touch with the press and the public easily. In the film, his lives as a human-being and a superhero differs relying on his Iron Man suit. Without wearing the superhero armor, Tony’s role in the story is an inventor that creates deadly missiles that could slaughter the entire village in seconds whereas Iron Man becomes the superhero that tries to mend what he as Tony …show more content…

On the other hand, Obadiah Stane and Pepper Potts are the characters that mostly deal with Tony Stark. Obadiah works as the villain that objects Tony’s decision on shutting down the company. Pepper then support Tony both as a billionaire and a superhero. Having her as a balance for Tony helps him maintain his double lives. Despite being able to identify the lives Tony has in the story, Favreau also represents them visually on screen by using different camera
