A Single Shard Characters

People can change for better or worse. Their attitude and actions can present a person’s image. In the story “A Single Shard”, the character Min is a perfect example of this. Min was unkind, harsh, and acts hard. He does not show many good ways. Therefore, he is viewed as a mean person. He was also a perfectionist; he had much pride in his work and himself. He was not the nicest two other characters in the story as well. For example, Tree-ear, which is a character who works for him. He is not kind and does not really care too much for him, but appreciates his work. There was not much information about his background or the reason he was like this, but at the end he started caring for him and showing love.

In the beginning of the story “A Single Shard” Min was unkind and did not have caring feelings for anyone. He was stubborn and harsh. For example, Tree-ear was just an associate and worker to him. They were mutual, but that was it. Tree-ear, on the other hand is kind, lovable, and a hard worker. He is also sanguine. Which makes people think, why he is unkind to him. As stated above, he was hard and stubborn. Not just to Tree-ear, but to anyone. He was viewed as a, not so nice person. Even though, he was mean and hard. He eventually turned out to be nice and caring at the end. He showed better behavior towards many others and became nice to have around. He became willing and able to teach Tree-ear what he was hoping for and be able to make him happy. His imaged completely changed. He was no longer viewed as a harsh person to be around. He actually became caring and love, which is significant when talking about how he
