Many times in life, things go wrong. Everyone has a problem at least once in their life, and this is because no one is perfect, at least no one except for God, but that is off topic. In the novel, Lord of the Flies, by William Golding, there is a group of boys that get stranded on an island, and basically they had problems, and let’s just say that some of them died before they were finally rescued. The story plays out where there were a couple boys that tried to take charge, and become the leaders of different groups and apparently, they didn’t get along. The two main boys that took charge were Ralph, and Jack. They both had different ways of leading, so they didn’t get along, and therefore there were problems that caused the boys to have trouble on the island. The three different things that went wrong on the island in Golding’s Lord of the Flies were that there were no adults, there was no good government, and there were only boys.
The first thing that went wrong on the island in Golding’s Lord of the Flies was that there weren’t any adults. The story specifically points out that the boys were the only ones on the island. In the real world, there aren’t just kids, but also adults that are in our lives to help point us in the right direction, and to keep us in check. Everyone knows that without adults in our lives, we children would get in way more trouble than we already do. Let’s just imagine a world with no adults what so ever! It is obvious that it would be complete chaos! This is also true in the story. Without any adults on the island in the story, the kids all fight and end up killing each other! If there would have been adults on the island, it could have been a lot different. The adults would have kept the children in ...

... and some died!
In conclusion, there were obviously many problems on the island in William Golding’s story, Lord of the Flies. The first thing that went wrong on the island was that there were no adults on the island. Without adults on the island, the kids have no one to give advice, and no one to keep them in check. The second thing that went wrong on the island was that there was no good form of government on the island. Without a good form of government, the boys all turned to different dictatorships, and everyone knows that those almost always end in multiple deaths, and this story is not an exception. The last thing that went wrong on the island was that there were only boys, and of course they did what boys do, and that is fight, just like any other boy in the world. In the end, there were a few boys that didn’t live to see a military man come and save them.
