A Journey Through Life and College to a New Career If I have the opportunity to manage a project from start to finish, similar to the project worked in my senior year of college, would I be up for the challenge? The answer to that question is an emphatic yes. Why do I come to that conclusion? Life has already unfolded a lot of different paths for me up through my graduation. Picking the right path is always a challenge. I have finally found my offerings to society through my life experiences through my parents, being a single mom, employment layoffs leading to my journey through college. Let me begin by explaining where I come from. My father, who is an architect, is very artistic and detailed oriented. I carry those same traits and naturally apply them to everything I do. I started out drafting railroad electrical circuits on a drafting table in 1992. As time went on, I began transitioning to computer drafting and slowly learning to write programmable scripts to speed up processes or automate functions within the drafting software. In addition to the knack for production and detail, I gained the position to manage the computer assisted drafting and design team. At this point I also discovered that I thoroughly enjoyed working with people and guiding them to a successful project outcome. Fast forward about fifteen years. I became a single mother and had to learn how to juggle home life and a career alone. I had new challenges to overcome, quickly learning new management skills which apply to my overall accomplishments. However, the challenges don’t stop there. I was learning database creation “on the fly” at work. I have found yet another skill that I enjoy. The company I was working for gave me a project where I had full control ... ... middle of paper ... ...ows me to practice all the skills I have learned in college and hone them to perfection. With a broad spectrum of studies that one can look at in information technology management, the sky is the limit for gaining a better understanding of how technology works in our society and how to manage it. College has given me confidence, a sense of accomplishment and the tools to take on larger projects, as well as ways to improve my skills. Since attending college, I am capable of handling new challenges in both my career choices and life. I am a whole new person today with a brand new view of who I am and what my capabilities are. I have made obtainable goals and have the toolset to get there. The opportunities are endless. So yes, I am ready for and welcome the opportunity to manage a project from start to finish similar to the project worked in my senior year of college.
Conclusion Ultimately I did a much better job of implementing course material into my approach to leading the project team. Though no formal leadership role was established, I ended up becoming the “point-man.” Instead of viewing this reality as a burden (as I have been) I should make the most of the opportunity to better myself and potentially others. Additionally, and perhaps most importantly, I need to make sure that I am meeting and exceeding the demands that the group places on itself and demonstrate that I am motivated.
As a student in her sophomore year, I am still learning about what I can do and what I want to do. Although I am young, my mother always told me that it is never too early to start thinking about the future, which is why it is an honor to be able to apply for the membership of being part of National Honor Society. I have always loved challenges no matter what the result because nothing is equal to the experience of trying. I take the things I have learned from my past experiences and use them as a guide to help me in the future. I haven't ever once stopped to give up if I encountered an obstacle, but rather embraced it and thought of ways to overcome them.
It's been kind of a full-circle life. I grew up in a craft-centric family. My mother and my grandmother both taught me how to crochet and to make rag rugs and do latch hook. All very early on. In middle school, I remember my dad built a craft room for me off our garage. I would spend every day after school and all summer long in that craft room tackling every sort of DIY. I was very arts-focused. When I went off to Princeton, I realized that I couldn't be a crafts maker for a career, and so I pursued architecture, which for me had a lot of the same principles of building, making and creating.

At the dawn of the information age, to be young, as Wordsworth said in another context, is very heaven. Getting to know what goes inside computers, the engines of the Information Technology revolution, and knowing how to work with them enables one to understand the technology that makes it all possible. Understanding this, I chose to do my undergraduate study in Electronics and Communications engineering.
Being well acknowledged about the above saying has pushed me a mile further for every aspect of my life. The four year engineering course in Information Technology has always been a beautiful experience and has inspired me to put the knowledge into my Masters degree. This would allow me to enhance my knowledge about technology and its pros and cons and the guidance I would need. Gone are those days when man had to slog for simple works, he has advanced into boundaries which are unimaginable and has made his life easy, being an essential part of such an advancement has always been my motive. To attain my goal, my first priority would be in the field of research which will consist experiencing the applications in the real world steered by comprehensive know-how about technology. Technology has prevailed and casted its spell to parts unknown and now has been imbibed into man.
Over the course of my professional life, I have become increasingly involved in project management roles. Doing so has made me aware of the many varied challenges that can face projects and the project managers who are charged with bringing them through to completion. The success or failure of projects, in whatever economic, political or social field, rests not just on the quality of the project’s goals, but also on the abilities of those involved in the project – and above all those who are managing it – to bring it to successful completion. To do this, project managers need to be equipped with a very wide range of skills, many of which are unrelated to the type of project itself. So, for example, a project manager of an engineering project must not only have engineering
My work is rarely a job acquired directly out of school. Rather, most entering project managers have some combination of both technical education and hands-on HVAC work. I used to Oversee and used to manage all project details of assigned projects to include, but not limited to, staffing, materials, scheduling, projections and related areas.
On other hand it says the project management will be more professional and having unique skill for functional effect on the projects. The role of project management will be more in industrial fields. A report was published by Project Management Talent Gap Report provides the predicted for the future of project managers “between 2010 and 2020, 15.7 million new project management roles will be created globally across seven project-intensive industries” there will be a high global demand for project managers, which makes the project management profession very desirable (Project Management Institute, 2013). Finally in twenty-first century the project manager should be adaptable for changes and disruptions for success in managing and controlling to get satisfied

Therefore, you always need to keep in touch with your audience and make project remarkable with small factors. I think I am the person who can manage works and think about results beforehand. I am studying Business Administration and I believe I should start to work even before graduating from Academy. After five years, I see myself as a respected person and entrepreneur who bring innovative ideas to Azerbaijan.
