The Solution? A Farm for the Future presents many issues our world is facing. Farms powered by fossil-fueled machinery, the growth of crops, and the chemicals used to grow food all pose an issue to our environment. Many of them I had no knowledge they excited. Some of these issues I have already known about but did not realize just how serious the issues are. This documentary opened my eyes to what is going on in the world. The one thing that kept coming to mind watching this documentary was “what is the solution?” The film did an outstanding job at answering this question. All throughout the film, it brings up many solutions to the problem. Unfortunately, none of which can be the definitive answer, but paint a good picture as to what we can do. Good or bad man have always strived to new endeavors, and when a situation arises, we face them head on. Right now we are faced with another. Providing food for the people on this large scale is a very important job. However, the amount needed is outrages, and the fossil fuel gets into the food. The high demand for fuel means higher prices that cause real issues for smaller farms. This is one of the main problems the documentary is surrounded around because smaller farms do not make as much profit like many large production farms do, and the negative effects it has on the environment.
