Did you know that there are many different stories for the story we love today and is known as Cinderella ,and some people even know her as “Little Ashes” which is actually how many Native Americans know her because they have different type of Cinderella story. When Cinderella was younger her father traveled around all the time and would bring her and her sisters presents but everyone thought Cinderella was strange because she asked for a pet bird when one of her sisters asked for a fancy dress and the other sister asked for a fancy hat and she actually ended up getting her Prince Charming. One sister asked for a fancy dress, and the other sister asked for a fancy hat. Then their father brought back their presents. Her sisters said that Cinderella is foolish for asking for a pet bird, but then the bird makes Cinderella a very pretty dress. When Cinderella went to the ball and had the time of her life. Unfortunately, her glass slipper fell off and the king found Cinderella and found out that the shoe fit ,and when it did he asked her to marry him.When anybody reads the Italian cultures’ Cinderella and the Native Americans cultures’ Cinderella, we all realized that two cultures may not be that different, and they actually have a lot in common. When anybody reads “Little Ashes”, they will realize that in Native America, they rely on nature and in the Italian culture that they not only rely on nature, but on each other just as the Native Americans did. When the girls in different cultures were younger, their parents wanted them to realize that life isn’t perfect, and you have to work hard to earn
