A Case for Viktor Frankenstein's Innocence

957 Words2 Pages

Victor Frankenstein is innocent. There is no doubt in my mind that Victor Frankenstein is innocent for the murder of Justine, Elizabeth, and William. They were in fact killed by a man named, “The Creature.” He in fact killed the two of them to get revenge on the man who created him. The Creature was angry that everyone thought that he was ugly, and hated to be around him. It all started when Dr. Henry Clerval told Victor Frankenstein not to make the Creature because he would be one that destroys everything. Victor then got Dr. Clerval’s Journal after he had died, and he started to make the Creature. Once the Creature was all assembles and born he was brought to life by Frankenstein. Frankenstein was then afraid of his own creation and fled the lab. The creature then got out and found some clothes and made his way to the country side where he then found his way to the little house in the woods where the De Lacey family lived.
He found his way to the house and he hid in the attachment to the house where all of the pigs were kept. He spied on the family for a while and randomly doing good deeds. One night the ground was frozen and the De Lacey could not get their vegetables out of the ground, so the creature decided to dig all of the vegetables up that night. The De Lacey family woke up the next morning to having all of their vegetables dug out of the ground. So soon after that the landlord of the De Lacey family came to collect their rent, but the only one home was the grandpa of the De Lacey’s. So the grandpa started talking to the man and the man decided to push the grandpa down. Then the Creature came out and grabbed the man and threw him and made him leave. The grateful grandpa who appeared to be blind told the Creature to come...

...very confused and when Victor and the Creature started fighting over her, Elizabeth got very mad and didn’t want live like that, so she grabbed a lantern and smashed it over her head where she got caught on fire and she ran down the hallway on fire and catching everything on fire, and finally running off the stairs to fall to her death.
Everyone can see that the Creature is guilty of the murder of Justine, Elizabeth, and William. There is no doubt in my mind that the creature was guilty of murder. Just because Victor Frankenstein brought the creature to life does not make the Creature responsible for these murders. The Creature is a person with a heart and a brain who is capable of making his own decisions. So I hope that everyone that heard this story of these horrible murders would see that the Creature is guilty of these murders and not Victor Frankenstein.
