I have always felt that my career should be within the health profession and hospital based.I’ve been passionate about science from a young age. I’ve always wondered how science all works. I’m deeply passionate about going into radiography and would like to pursue a career in radiography. I have a key interest in how the body functions. Gaining a successful career in diagnostic will allow me to achieve my goals. My interest of having a career in diagnostic was established during my childhood experience of attending the radiology department I became fascinated in the field. Southfield is a school for special needs and this was a great opportunity to embrace my skills and also improve my skills. Also while working at Southfield it has helped me to handle and communicate with people with special needs. From my experience working at Southfield I have developed and improved many skills such as inter personal skill, communication skills and team working skills. In a radiology department it is crucial to have excellent interpersonal skills to communicate with other members of the team and to support patients who may be scared or insecure about what is going to happen. Diagnostic radiographers get to know patients for a very brief period of time and it is important to be able to understand the psychology of individuals very quickly to be able to provide the best care possible. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends and going out shopping as I think the key to success is to balance my study time with my social life as I am strongly passionate to undertake my studies to the best of my ability and by doing higher education this will allow me to expand my skills and knowledge considerably and allow me to gain a rewarding career in the Medical Industry that will highly benefit me .I am highly inspired to go to University and study diagnostic radiography.
