Fascinated with hotels! That’s how I would describe myself. A fascination kindled, in some strange way by the movie “Home Alone 2: Lost in New York” which I had watched as a child. Some of my fondest childhood memories are those about exotic food, pool side fun and entertainment and alluring ambience at various hotels, while vacationing with parents and siblings, during school holidays. It was only natural therefore that I should have opted for a job in the hospitality-industry. On successful completion of my assignment in, six months to one year time period, I shall become eligible for seeking interview for a management position any one of Marriot Hotel chain. I hope that I have been able to convey in some degree, my sense of pride and job-satisfaction that I find in my line of work. Moreover I want to realize the latent promise of career-advancement therein. This should go to explain as to why I am so keen to join the George Town Master’s program in Hospitality Management. Being, a part of the Hospitality industry already, and with a lively urge to move ahead, I view the program as a powerful tool for the realization of my ambitions in my chosen field of work. The burgeoning possibilities and the fecundity of potentiality is truly staggering in The Hospitality Management industry and I feel that this program offers me a unique chance of giving context and perspective to a proliferation of fruitful notions now available; and of utilizing them constructively both for my personal benefit and for that of the organization I would work
