My 3 Goals For Next Year:
This year I want to work on myself physically, and mentally. I want to become a better student and a better friend. I want to improve myself for next year and the years to come. I want to set 3 goals this year.Next year, I hope to stay on task, get better grades and be a better friend. Firstly, I want to stay on task. A lot of students suffer from lack of participation in class. Sometimes I doodle all over my notes, space out, or do my own thing. I think, I would be a better student if I reach my goal, and stay on task.
Secondly, I want to get better grades. Getting good grades, makes me, my family, and my teachers proud. Getting good grades is very important to me, for high school and college.
8. Develop new goals and objectives for this year, using the list of strenghts and need you and your parents and teacher developed.
I have always been a straight A student, so my number one academic goal is to maintain that streak all though college. Another goal of mine is to finish my core classes early so I can have a bump free senior year. By taking Dual credit and classes throughout the summer I can reduce my workload later on in the future. A third major goal of mine is to be accepted into the Andy Dekaney National Honors Society. As an active member of the NHS I can become more outgoing and have a chance to give back to the
My educational goals are important to me. My goals are to come out of English 100 and be able to write any kind of memo, document, or resume; because I know someday every one of these writing projects will become useful.
Being the first one to attend college in my family has pushed me to continue my education. Now in today’s society a college degree is so important. I want my parents to be proud of me, and be happy with my high level career after college, and that starts with my education. I also hope to be an influence on my younger brother and show him that a college education is important. He looks up to me, and I need to be a good role model for him. I truly just want to get the best education and job for myself worth and make myself happy.
Goals give you something to measure yourself against and give you direction. Currently, my main goal is to graduate from East Carolina University with a bachelor’s degree of science in engineering with a concentration in biomedical engineering. My anticipated time to graduation is five years with a GPA of 3.5 or higher. Beyond getting my bachelor’s degree at East Carolina University, I would like to go to medical school and become a doctor focusing on prosthetics. In order to make my goals a reality, I will have to work diligently to remain on track throughout my schooling. Additional goals that I have set for myself are to complete homework assignments by the time they are due, reading assigned material before it is discussed in class, doing well in each of my courses this semester, successfully participating in extracurricular activities, graduating with a bachelor’s degree in engineering, getting a position as an engineer, and becoming a leader within both the engineering community and the general community. A world-class engineering student woul...
One goal is I want to see what I am capable of. I have a terrible habit where I doubt myself, and that doubt sometimes leads me missing out on life changing opportunities. There’s a saying that goes, “Doubt kills more dreams than future ever will” which really emphasizes how doubt is what makes us runs away from our hopes, goals, and dreams. It is something that makes us terribly afraid to try something new or make an effort with things. However, I truly want to not run away from that doubt, but to be able to overcome it. Even though I may be doubtful at times, I am full of determination to pursue excellence and strive to do my best in everything. For example, I want to see how great I can make my education be in high school. I have a strong connection and commitment when it comes to learning because it’s always a joy and experience when it comes to knowing new things. I believe that knowledge is one great element in life where it leads to the highest success, and it can only be acquired one way through diligence and effort. When it comes to my education, I make sure to not take it for granted and to never give up, even if it may feel brutal at times. In my opinion, I care what I learn and put towards my education rather than the grade given since with all the effort and work I put towards to what I am told, the grade follows. However, that does not mean that I am careless about my grades. I greatly cherish school and can be an example towards others at Rocky Mountain when it comes to setting academic goals and aspiring all the knowledge I want in my education. I want to influence others to make an effort when it comes to their education and see what they’re capable of. That’s why whenever I look at teachers, I see that they are sharing the gift of new traits for our education, for our futures in life. When looking at those apart of the National Honor Society, I noticed that they have
As the year goes on, I am sure I will have my goals set for me to accomplish as well. I can say I am a strong, independent girl who stands up for herself and I never let anyone run over me. I may seem like a mean person, but I am far from that unless you make me become the mean me.
My first goal was to be more respectful to teachers. I can say I did a better job on that this year. I wasn't perfect, I still gave attitude and got sent down to the office twice for being disrespectful. I didn't get suspended this year and the two office referrals were during the first semester. After that I wasn't sent down to the office at all. This year was a better year for me when it came to behavior but the other two goals...they didn't go so well.
This may be in the form of an agenda or schedule. This will allow for the student to stay up-to-date with their studies and assignments. Students falling behind in a class may become a mountainous challenge to conquer. He/she reating the habit of writing down assignments may pose a struggle for some students, but it is a quality way of staying on top of their work. Another step a student can take is being realistic with themselves.
Grades are one of the most important factors of my high school career. My grade point average and my SAT's determine what college I go to. They determine my effort at high school. I must do whatever possible to keep my grade point average above 3.0. My GPA currently is ok, but if I could increase it by just .2 I would be much better off. Grades are very crucial for getting acceptance to college. They are one of the major things that colleges look at to accept you (or so I have been told). So I will keep pushing myself so that my grades will increase this year, making it possible for me to hopefully enter a better school then I can right now.
This year I will be more organized with life and school. Being better organized with my life will help get everything done on time. It would also help me try to get recruited to a basketball team. Being better organized with my schooling will help me go to college. This year I will strive to be better organized with everything in my life.
A personal goal that I want to continue from 2016 is learning to rollerskate well. The reason for this is because I hope to be a roller derby player, which involves being very well at moving quickly in skates. To accomplish this, I need to practice often, be accepting towards the fact I will fall, and that I’ll fail. For me to be able to practice often, I’ll need to use my time wisely and finish all homework assignments under a time schedule. A way for me to not get discouraged is to think that failure isn’t failure until you give up.
Ever since I can remember I have been a hyperactive child, I always find it difficult to pay attention and keep myself focused. I have learned over time to focus and stay on task when needed, and fix my distractions so I can regain focus on the class, teacher, or my homework. I do apply myself with subjects I love. The skills that I possess well are self-awareness and goal-setting. Lana Becker, educational researcher implies “Self-regulated learning requires students to make deliberate choices and consciously select and employ effective strategies so that learning will take place. Self-regulation [is] referred to as the ‘fusion of will and skill’” (par. 1) I do not apply myself in situations because of my lack of motivational skills. Although I possess great self regulated learning skills, I need to apply those skills across all learning situations.
This year we all have goals but I want to accomplish many things in six months. My major goals for the following months are the following things: learn ASL, get my driving permit, start studying for test and quizzes, figure out my major, study for math class, and get a job. These six things I can accomplish by trying hard as well as start as soon as possible. I don't know what is going to happen in my life or where i'll be in six months, but I know I can control some things of what I will have accomplished by june.
to give my best, to enjoy my education and the teachers that are here to help me,
