The act of bullying in schools has risen to alarming numbers across the nation. It is infiltrating itself into the educational environment all over the United States. Bullying has become such an epidemic and the consequences are staggering. Children are afraid in the halls of what supposed to be a safe haven. It affects they confidence and self-esteem which then results in poor work and lack of focus in school. Some of the dire circumstances that have become popular as late with heavy consequences such as suicide. It is just not a society, but as a democracy of protecting our youth, there must be proactive way of effective reducing the act of bullying to where it can become nonexistent
An estimated that 160,000 children are reported absent from school every day due to fear of attack or intimidation by fellow students (NESC).
