For my research paper I have chosen Edgar Allan Poe as my author. I have selected this author because I really enjoy reading his work. I have read a lot of his work: The Raven, The Mask of the Red Death, Annabel Lee, The Cask of Amontidallo, The Fall of the House of the Usher, Eleonora. I really enjoy reading his work because they are full of mystery. He portrays a great feeling of darkness in all his works. He was one of the authors we focused a lot during my junior and senior year. When I was a senior, we saw a two hour documentary about him and his life growing up. I am very familiar with most of his work and his style. My favorite poems by Edgar Allan Poe are “The Raven” and “Annabel Lee”. They are very interesting pieces of literature. Both of these writings have so much meaning about his life. I believe they are his best two poems. He is the only author that has ever interested me. I know a lot about his personal life and career. I believe I could write a good biographical research paper about him.
