Relationships remains to be the most intricate parts of humanity. Becoming someone’s girlfriend, boyfriend, best friend, or even business partner involves certain levels of commitment. Then there’s marriage, the highest level of commitment in society, being treated as a failing trend . Currently, being single is better than being married. Marriages have become more risky, which means bigger losses after a divorce. There’s less restrictions against divorce, leading to higher divorce rates than the previous years. An increase in unorthodox marriages could lead to violence or harassment. Consequently, marriages have become as hazardous as gambling with the stock markets amongst society and is easily avoided.

Christian churches was known for being strict about divorce and remarriage, as both were seen as sins against god. Since the 1950’s, there was an increase of churches refusing to remarry couples. However, since the lack of punishment decreased against divorces, marital separations have become a norm to look forward to. The doubtful fiancé experience is seen as overrated by single people that can leave their girlfriend or boyfriend without religious or political impact. Churches cannot discriminate a single person because most religions promote one-time monogamous marriages. Many sins committed during a person’s single life can be forgiven and stopped. However, once you marry then divorce, you have committed a harsh act against god. Then choosing to remarry only digs the hole deeper. Marriage is like a game of whack-a-mole, one hit after another. Gratefully, we are no longer in the 1950’s and religion have slowly taken the back seat as politicians steps in. This is believed because it 's learned from everywhere that marriage is the ultimate expression of love. However, throughout history it have been shown that some believe not everyone deserve the privileges of marriage. Many people are single because their marriage would be seen as “unorthodox” and they can risk being harassed, assaulted, or discriminated. Some people were raised with the ideology that marriage is between two people that love each other. Then society limited marriages to only men and women and the same race. There’s been an increase of “tradition” trumping over true love. This shows in instances where gay couples were rejected to get married, interracial couples were harassed online, or either of these “unorthodox”pairs are being assaulted.
