Unknown to many, Digital Signal Processing has a broader impact in economic, social, and global categories. In the economic view, digital signal processing generates income and has proved to successfully bring plenty of business for the future; it is where the future is heading. In social context, digital signal processing has enabled us to evolve (and continue to Evolve) with communications to virtually any one in the world. It connects millions around the world, which brings us to the Global aspect. Digital signal processing is relevant due to the fact that it has become a necessity. A lot of people only think cellphones; little do they know digital signal processing is used in everyday life.

I. Introduction
When you think of digital signal processing, what comes to mind? Well you may think digital signals, so cell-phones? What about radio’s or even satellite television? The answer is yes, all these are correct, but there is a broader impact of digital signal processing that goes beyond these everyday items. Digital signal has been around for about 5 decades, starting back in the early 1970’s [4]. Analog has been around since the 50’s and takes the big brother role to digital signals [5]. Digital was intertwined with analog, but then branched out on its own because it was more useful.
Digital signal processing, defined by Wikipedia, is the mathematical manipulation of an information signal to modify or improve it in some way. The way I see the objective of digital signal processing is to convert signals, such as analog to digital and/or digital to analog. This conversion allows for signals to be processed into numbers, which can be used for a varie...

...ion whether it is audio, video, or speech. It allows for everyone to be connected to one another, an ease of communication that is constantly evolving.
It is a world-wide change that is one of the largest growing industries.
Globally, digital signal processing is constantly used science. It is used for communicating world leaders and connecting countries for wars, disaster relief, as well as common goals among the nations. Another use is for communication with ships travelling the seas, and without it, I feel many would be in grave danger.
I see digital signal processing as a life-changing tool. We can do many great things with it, for example communications and networking, and it can also be an extremely harmful tool. It depends on how it is used, but one thing is for sure, and that is digital signal processing is a fast growing technology with a vast future ahead.
We live in a world where society continuously thrives, where new ideas are endlessly shaped, and where technology is constantly advancing. Depending on who you talk to, one person might say technology, due to its efficiency, is imperative, while another person might say it is destroying us, stripping away our true abilities. We rely on technology to entertain us, to speak for us, and even to think for us. So I ponder on the question, does the method of communication depends on individual circumstance? By examining both Paul Barnwell’s article, “My Students Don’t Know How to Have a Conversation” and Michael Scatturo’s article, “This Glove Could Help Deaf-Blind People Communicate With Anyone, Anywhere,” we can see how technology and its effects
Recording technology wasn’t always a digital process. Before the 1970s, all recordings depended on capturing a physical analogue sound with microphones. This was done on either tape or disk. Analogue recordings lacked the sonic integrity that the 21st century demanded; it was becoming increasingly problematic and expensive in reducing noise and distortion that plagued analogue recordings. As a result, audio researchers began to study digital conversion techniques. They discovered that digitizing an electrical audio signal consisted of sampling the audio wave thousands of times a second, measuring the peak amplitude of each sample, and then assigning one of a limited number of binary values to each.

The most important thing when interacting with other human beings is being able to communicate one another. People’s first mechanical way of communicating was with the invention of the telegraph, which was at first run by gas. It wasn’t until 1836, when Samuel F.B Morse, Alfred Vail, and Joseph Henry invented Morse code that our civilization had would be able to electronically communicate. Soon after, the first telephone was invented by Alexander Graham Bell which allowed people to vocally converse electronically from miles away. The invention of the telephone was then modified and eventually converted into a mobile cellular phone by Martin Cooper in...
Computer science is broad and invent the future for us by developing techniques and architectures for more advanced computing and by developing the more cool applications. Most of the things that are related to computer science, benefit us. I am pretty sure that in the future too, it would most likely benefit us. In the future, there will be much more advanced technologies. We can also use the powerful computer in the medical field, such as, helping physicians and nurses. With all the technologies that we have, I am sure that we are able to build all that and help doctor considering a patient’s diagnosis. One of the biggest role that computer science play towards society nowadays is social media. In my opinion, transition point in the field of Computer Science will continue to build more powerful technologies in the future. I guess in the year of 2035, everything and every activities will be done automatically by technologies that is built from Computer Science and others. I am sure that computer science will continue to make progress and make a difference in the world. Another thing to remember is there are still so much more things that computer science can do to make a difference and of course a better
There are a great number of applications for Digital Signal Processing and in order to better understand why DSP has such a large impact on multiple aspects of society, it helps to better understand the wide variety of applications it can be used for. Here we will briefly look into the following applications of Digital Signal Processing and their uses; speech and audio compression, communications, biomedical signal processing and applications in the automobile manufacturing industry. Li Tan [1] goes into detail with each of these applications in his book, Digital Signal Processing, and explains how each are used on a daily basis.
Signal detection theory is introduced by mathematicians and engineer in 1950 . It started to evolve from the developing electronics communication.
First reason for that is it allows us to add capabilities to physical system. And because of that we merge computing and communication with physical process and it brings us many benefits, like system will be more safe and efficient, the cost of construction and operation will be reduce and we can build a complex system that provide us a new capabilities. Other advantages are: we can get fast way to ensure safety in various real world processes, we can ensure efficiency, it will improve the quality of life for countless people, etc.
Analog communication employs continuous transmission of an electromagnetic wave form that varies in frequency and amplitude.
The world has gone through a lot of changes as time passes by. With advancements in the technological field, people can communicate with people from around the world without having to even lift a finger. To make things more efficient and more cost-saving, industries have made technology wireless. Wireless technology gives people the chance to get up from their stationary computer, or corded phone and be able to freely move without restrictions. IT, or Information Technology, has become a standard and very critical part of today’s society.

... pictures and videos. Communicating these days is a total different story than how individuals would associate with each other in the olden days. As technology continues to advance, the way we communicate will proceed to multiply. In the next 20 years I am sure there will be tons more ways to make communicating faster, easier, and more interesting than it is these days.
The presence of computers, phones, internet and wireless devices have broadened the web of connectivity by changing long distances to short ones where everyone is equal distance from the other through the present connections. Leaving without technology will be totally impossible as this has become every day’s application as more and more people are gaining knowledge on how to make use of the communication tools to improve their ways of living and staying informed on the current technology to avoid being left behind. New technologies are being developed daily which shows that the industry will continue to grow and expand. People will continue using these technologies to improve their standards and to stay informed
the Internet, any two people anywhere can communicate for free, whether it is with text or voice. Video conferencing tools are becoming readily available to the public. New uses are being found for the Internet every day.
