In the year 1990, scientists begin working on a research project called the Human Genome Project. To begin, the Human Genome Project was a competitive international research study. Scientists are trying to change how DNA sequences can be altered to allow us to eliminate diseases in the unborn embryo. The Human Genome project will also allow scientists to understand the mapping of the approximately over thirty hundred genes inhabit one human body alone. (Dr.Green Genome.gov). Over the last several decades, this project has advanced because of the changes of technology. With Technology advancing has allowed sciences to be able to make important changes the Human Genome Project by allowing them to chart out and overlap each DNA. Two major concerns that need to be addressed concerning the Human Genome Project are the negative effects on the embryo from the alteration of the DNA, and how it may cause the possible death of the embryo.
Scientists has been able to show us that the Human Genome Project can catch a genetic family disease before it hits the embryo blood stream. You may be th...
