Many U.S. Citizens have given their lives unselfishly in wars America has had. World War 2 started in 1939, however, the U.S didn't join until 1941. As the war ended in 1945 there were more than 416,800 American military that had courageously lost their lives, but why did this make the start of the war to begin with? On September 1st, 1939 Germany invaded Poland and other nations that were a part of the British Empire. Going deeper into the reasoning, back to the end of World War 1, Germany was forced to sign the Treaty of Versailles, which many Germans strongly wanted to rescind from. This was one of the treaties signed on June 28th 1918, this ended the actual fighting of the war; however, it took six months to conclude officially. This caused the country of Germany to lose 14%, banned them from annexing other states, limited the size of German forces, and forced them to pay monumental sizes in compensation.
