The newest and frightening form of drug induced rapes often involves date rape drugs. Date rape drugs makes the victims pass out and this makes them unable to resist what is happening to them and they cannot recall what happened to them during an assault. Date rape drugs also known as predator drugs are any drugs that are used in assisting in the execution of drug facilitated sexual assault. A drug facilitated sexual assault is date rape or acquaintance rape that a person does not agree to. Date rape drugs are used to assist sexual assault which includes sexual intercourse, rape, and attempted rape, touching inappropriately and putting something in the vagina since the victims do not understand anything or in simple words sex that one does not agree to. Date rape drugs render the victims unconscious but are responsive with no or little memory of what happened to them when the drug is in their system. In addition, these drugs make a person incapable of thinking clearly.
Date rape drugs are very powerful and dangerous. While they are more powerful when merged with alcohol, their impact can be just as dangerous when placed in soda, water or other drinks. These drugs are always slipped in drinks when one is not looking. These drugs have no color, taste nor smell and one cannot be able to tell if they have been drugged. Date rape drugs have hypnotic, sedative, amnesiac and dissociative effects on the victims and are always added to food and drinks without the victims’ knowledge.
