Article: Be a better version of yourself #Be productive. When I say, “be productive”, it doesn’t mean putting off the high priority task to complete the trivial small task just to say that you have done a lot of things and you were productive. Think about it, the sooner you do your coursework the more you’ll have time later and less stressful for your nerves. #Stop Overthinking. Overthinking kills happiness as they say. Overthinking actually creates more problems as it magnifies unimportant inconveniences into colossal disasters. But if you did follow the first step, you shouldn’t even over think at all as you were too busy doing useful things with your time. #Let it go. Change things that bother you. If you tried everything in your ability to change it, but you were unable to do so, then let it go. However planning the appropriate plan of action in your head and not executing it does count as trying. There is no need to hover and cultivate negative thoughts, that will only hinder you from success and happiness. #Don’t chase Perfection. Perfection is boring. It is impossible to be ‘perfect’. Everyone has a flaw. Even though some of us have definitely more flaws than the other. For argument’s sake, let us claim that you are perfect, then what else do you need to do? There is nothing to improve on; you are going to be predictable. Who wants to be with someone who is predictable and bland? #Make mistakes. With that being said, it is certainly okay to make mistakes, once in a while. Greatest mistakes teach you the great lessons. Success is not measured by how many times you fall, but how you get up and pick up yourself. I stated once in a while because if you keep making the same mistakes over and over again, then you are utterly m... ... middle of paper ... ...make an impact and reach more audience, the publisher of the magazine also aims to promote the ‘Apologue’ magazine at student based literary festival. One of the festivals I have decided to promote the magazine is the North London Festival. There was a better attendance at the workshop events than in the showcasing type of events. By conducting a mini workshop on this kind of events not only empower students and advertises the magazine, but also a great way to discover students who exhibits flair for magazine production. “The word perfection cannot be defined into one person or one thing. Perfection can only be told or seen in a first person view. No one will genuinely think something or someone is as perfect as another person, it’s impossible to see eye to eye with something that is as powerful and subjective as perfection.” - Jordan van der neut, 2014
...ce in society. And the effects of the ideals behind these magazines are all the more powerful because of their subtlety." Women walk away from these magazines with an empty feeling and feelings of many inadequacies and they really don't know exactly why. The subtle undermining of women's intelligence and cause strips away their sense of worth ever so slowly and leaves them feeling depressed and in search of something that really can't exist together. Growing old while staying young takes many years of complete and internal happiness not many years of collagen injections and the added stress of having to stay unattainably perfect. While some consider these journalists for women's magazines talented writers, I consider them horrendous displays of talent in which they sell out the naturally beautiful women of the world for a quick buck and a popular magazine.
Perfect: adj. ˈpər-fikt 1. Entirely without any flaws, defects, or shortcomings, is the first definition you find on dictionary.com for the word (perfect). Is this actually possible to attain? Has anyone actually ever been perfect? Or is it all in the eye of the beholder? These questions are asked by almost every girl, as we dream to one day reach the unattainable. This is especially true at the tender age of fifteen, where nothing seems to be going right with our bodies and everything is changing in us. This poem stresses the fact that as everyone realizes how unrealistic this dream is, the knowledge makes no difference to the wish. Marisa de los Santos comments on this in her poem “Perfect Dress”. The use of verbose imagery, metaphors, and the simplistic approach are very effective in portraying the awkward adolescent stage of a young woman and the unrealistic dream of being perfect.
Mistakes are essential for improvement, whether that’s in science or in social situations. Every error a person makes brings them closer to the right answer or a new discovery. For instance, the discovery of penicillin was based upon a mistake. However, the effect wasn’t a negative
Mistakes are made by everyone whether it be because of confusion, lack of correct information, or just an accident. Mistakes are what make us human because we can't be perfect
Have you ever looked through a magazine and found it to be really interesting? That is because you are part of its target audience. You are part of a group of people that the magazine is trying to appeal to. There is a reason Sports Illustrated is more of a man’s magazine and Family Circle is more of a woman’s magazine. The people that run that magazine put certain things in those magazines to attract their audience. More commonly, men are interested in sports and anything to do with sports. In Sports Illustrated, the reader would find sports, and that is it. The reader would not find an article titled “How working women balance their careers and home lives.” An article such as that would be found in a magazine like Family Circle, as it is targeted more towards women who have a family. For the purpose of this audience visual analysis, I will be discussing the October 8th, 2012 issue of People magazine. Looking at this issue and reading through the magazine, it is evident that the publishers do have a target audience in mind. This visual analysis will discuss who its target audience is and how the reader can tell. Also, the essay will discuss how the magazine makes the advertisements relevant to its audience.

Most people have indulged in the perfect wine, made love to the perfect person while possibly wearing the perfect outfit. Or have they? Is there a such thing as perfection, if so can we attain it? No. Nothing in this world is perfect because it is impossible to create perfection. According to Plato's Theory of Forms, perfection cannot exist in the physical world but only the realm of the philosophers; the ones who choose to lurk deeper in the veiled mysteries of metaphysics.

Mistakes are actually a very influential part of a person’s upbringing in life. Mistakes shape a person’s character to make them who they are today. A mistake can teach someone many different life lessons that will better them as a person and make their lives more enjoyable. A person will commit a mistake usually when he or she is distracted. Distraction is the number one cause of mistakes in our world today. Many people are afraid of making mistakes, so they play it safe in life and don’t strive to achieve everything they are capable of achieving. This is a very bad thing. People should not be afraid of the potential mistakes there are to be made. Instead, they should focus more on the great lengths they could go in life by pursuing their goals. Mistakes will happen on life’s journeys,
Many regrets may burden ones mind throughout their life. This is a totally normal part of ones life that one may have no control over. “A man should never be ashamed to own he has been in the wrong, which is by saying, in other words, that he is wiser today than he was yesterday.” - Alexander Pope (1688-1744) It is important that one will learn from their mistakes and take out a valuable lesson learned through their actions. The world does not stop for your sake, it simply keeps going and does not put into consideration that the day did not go accordingly to plans.
..., the more we get older, the more mature you become. Unless you want to go through life as a complete recluse, you are guaranteed to make a mistake every now and then. If you learn from your mistakes correctly, they will move you forward. You should avoid feeling guilty about making a mistake if you can learn from them. If you make the same mistake, it shows you aren’t making process and causes
