Have you ever questioned what the world favors between cats and dogs? Many people have voted and the dog gained the most votes. Not only do they defend you more, but dogs love you more than cats. Many cat lovers would disapprove, but it is actually true. One reason the world fancies the dog better is because they can keep you unharmed and safe. Dogs can make you more protected because dogs are more likely to honor you and keep you safe from harm, but cats just want to be cherished and can’t learn how to shield you. Another reason the world selects dogs is that you can train them but cats don’t pay attention to you and aren’t made to be trained. Dogs can keep you safer if there is a fire in your neighborhood or a fire in your house, they can alert you but a cat cant . This is only some of the reasons people like dogs better than cats. Dogs are also named “ Man’s best friend”, and that’s pretty good considering how many animals can live in your home. They are titled “ Man’s best friend” because they are more respectful, and will tilt their head to the side like they’re listening to you. While you do this they try to understand what you’re saying. Dogs will also learn their name and come to you when they’re called, but cats usually don't learn their name.Dogs also will play with people more than cats will. Dogs are way more comforting than cats, and they can get you more active at the same time. Dogs can be more comforting because they are excited to see you when you get home while cats are still mad you left them there. Many get you more active because most dog owners will walk their dog. They also know when you’re sad and try to comfort you, while cats don’t care if you’re happy or not. These ar... ... middle of paper ... ...am?, Pet cat in Ahappypets.com.com. N.p., n.d. Cats can be very lazy but dogs are not very lazy. Dogs can be fun and active while cats just like to sleep most of the time . Dogs are very smart and cats aren’t super smart dogs can find there way back home cats don’t really remember where they live by heart.Cats aren't that helpful dogs are helpful because when people can't do something or have a disability dogs will help those people.
To begin, you have to ask yourself how energetic am I? Cats seem to be calmer then dogs are, so they don't like to go outside so much. Cats don't need to go out for walks like a dog would have to. In an article by CNN it states "Neglecting those twice-daily walks has led to mischief in my home." Although cats enjoy the comfort of being home and relaxing dogs tend to get bored and use their extra energy to bite pillows, scratch the carpet, pee of your bed, etc. So if you are not dedicated to walking your dog then it's not

If I said that there is someone on this earth who loves you more than they love themselves, wouldn’t you want to meet them? A dog is the only thing on earth that loves you more than he loves himself (Dog Quotes, n.d.). While most owners are aware of the amount of joy and laughter dogs bring to them and their family, they are unaware that their dogs love them unconditionally and can help them have better lives. They’re not just furry friends that gives people companionship; there are a number of proven health benefits for people.
be trained, unlike the cat. But it's not the subject of comparing a dog and a cat.
Many first time owners don’t really grasp the costs of owning an animal until it's too late. Obtaining, feeding, housing, entertaining, cleaning, and keeping an animal safe is expensive on a good day, and just one emergency can push many owners into debt. According to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (ASPCA), “owning a cat instead of a dog could save you a minimum of $300 to $800 a year — probably more” (Harvey). Cats are small, and therefore likely to run up proportionally smaller food bills. They also tend to require fewer toys, supplies, and services than dogs, which need crates, leashes, collars, and training classes.
With about 74- 96 million cat and 70-80 million dogs being owned in the U.S, there is a disagreement on which animal is actually the better pet. Most are opinions but what about the real facts? Cats are more of a companion because they can endure less care, easy to clean up after, and are less cost effective than dogs. First, cats don't need a whole bunch of care. They need a good litter box, and litter.
I believe that cats are better pets than dogs, because they are so much cleaner animals. You don't even have to give your cat a bath. It can bathe itself! A cat will sometimes do this many times a day, while most dogs hate to be bathed by their owners (and usually go roll in dirt afterwards).
... and faithfulness that cannot be found from any other source. Even the most hardened of hearts can be touched by a cold wet nose or a comforting snuggle. Pets seem to be able to recognize and adapt to many of the conditions placed on them in our human environment. They can provide the sense of companionship, and love that is lacking in regular human relationships.
Dogs, without a doubt, are better than cats. For thousands of years this point has been proven, time and time again. We hear about amazing things that dogs do everyday for people across the globe, but the question is, what do you hear about cats? The fact of the matter is, cats suck. Cats have been and always will be selfish, arrogant, greedy, and self centered jerks. Dogs, however, will continue to forever be loyal, devoted, true, and selfless. While both cats and dogs have their own purposes in life, whether it be love or playfulness, dogs portray what the definition of a true best friend is, and cats portray what the perfect enemy is, terrible and atrocious.
A dogs behavior is significantly more desirable than a cats. A dog is loving and friendly most of the time and enjoys a good belly rub as a reward. If you try and scratch a cats belly, the cat will try to scratch and bite you. A dog is incomparably easier to train than a cat. You can teach a dog to do anything from bringing you your newspaper to the simplest command, sit. As a result of being able to train a dog, a dog goes to the bathroom outside, leaving no stench behind in your house. Whereas, a cat uses a litter box to go to the bathroom, there is always a stench in your house. Dogs are also far better with children. Dogs form a far greater bond with newborn babies, and often times do not leave the child’s crib side. Also, a trained dog will not cause destruction to your house, while you cannot train a cat to not use their sharp little claws to tear at the side of your couches, and rip and shred all the way down your curtains. Dogs also do not jump places where most cats jump, such as in your lap on your laptop, or on your dinner table at dinner. A dog won’t be a surprise first thing in the morning laying in your bathroom sink either. A dog will lay nex...
Both dogs and cats are good for companionship, because they are both very sweet, loveable. However dogs have a much more need for attention, dogs constantly want to be played with, and sometime aggravate their owner until they get what they want. On the other hand, cats pretty much like to stay to themselves. Some cats may stay away during the day time and only come out at night. Dogs sleep pretty much at night while some cats are up all night.
When you talk to pet owners about owning a cat versus a dog, it stirs up much controver-sy in many ways. By looking at both cats and dogs, the cat outweighs the dog in many ways, which makes the cat the superior selection when making a final decision on which one to get. Cats have very desirable qualities that make them an award winning choice to many owners. The qualities that appeal to most are the ability of the cat to live in small spaces, they do not eat large amounts of food for their meals, and they are very sedentary and independent in nature making them a low maintenance pet. One additional desired feature is cats are well suited for owners that have a very busy lifestyle and minimal time to give to their pet. This added feature
Having a pet is a wonderful idea. Pets bring companionship, personality, and gut wrenching humor to households across the world. Having previously owned both a cat and a dog, and currently being without a pet, I began to think about getting a new furry friend. Born a dog lover, and bred into a cat lover, I had the difficult decision of choosing one of the two.
