I am elated to celebrate Texas Independence Day by preparing my response to your call for the Project Director who will help make your beautiful dream a tangible reality, here in the heart of Texas. With broad and deep experience in bringing visions to life through my unique ability to direct the path of projects, I am confident that my record of delivering award-winning results will be well worth your time to review. After spending the last year patiently watching for a visionary project to appear that matches my own discerning criteria, I believe it has finally appeared in the form of the Pecan Street Project.

Confident that the content of my resume will introduce my capabilities—and that the correlations between my experience and your needs will be obvious—I will use this cover letter to discuss my personal motivations, which will further introduce you to my unique interest in working to ensure this particular project’s success.

As a native Austinite, I carry a native’s passion for Austin’s soul. My father’s career was with PageSoutherlandPage (PSP) and my mother worked with Austin Custom Records and Austex Printing. Our family prized and modeled a pioneering and creative mindset, built on a foundation of tolerance and inclusiveness—in other words, the Austin soul. As an example, we were one of the first families to build in Westlake in 1965 and my mother named our street, since our home established its existence. Cutting-edge architect A.D. Stenger built on the lot next to us, and I religiously donated my 25¢/week allowance to the Westlake High School building fund, believing this meant I would soon own a building. Above all, I hope I have conveyed my passion for your endeavor, since passion is the secret sauce in all sustainable success.

I attended today’s City Council meeting to listen in on the discussion around the Yingli (and Facebook) proposal, and that small simple step in the direction of your project’s space left me feeling deeply invigorated and enthused. Needless to say, I look forward to the next step of a

personal meeting, with a sense of eagerness to begin that is palpable.
