"God put us here on the carnival ride, we close our eyes never knowing, where it will take us" (Wheel of the World quoted In "Biography"). Those were the words of Wheel of the World that inspired Carrie Underwood to write her latest album. At only 13 years old, she recorded her first album ("Carrie Underwood Biography"). Underwood also participated in several different competitions around the US to prepare herself to audition for American Idol in 2004 ("Biography"). After winning this contest, she continued to stay humbly as her fame grew. Her contributions to country music are demonstrated by her career and proves beyond a doubt that the Country Music Hall of Fame should induct this singer. She has shown her value through her major works, charities and influences, and professional morals. First of all, Carrie Underwood should receive this award because her large amount of major works. Across the world, she has sold over fourteen million albums and has had fourteen number one singles. Winning five Grammys, Carrie has also "won 6 American Music Awards, 6 People Choice Awards, 7 CMT Music Awards, 9 American Country Awards, and 7 BMI Songwriter Awards." ("Carrie Underwood Bio") The Country Music Association, along side, the Academy of Country Music awarded Underwood Female of the Year three times each. In her career, she is the only artist to achieved Female Artist twice in the forty years they have had this award. Alongside these awards, she also won an ACM Triple Crown Award ("Carrie Underwood Bio"). These Awards alone prove that she is worthy of this award. Secondly, Carrie Underwood should be inducted for the charity work and influence she has on not only her fans but thousands of others. Staying strong through her faith, remaining humble, and influencing so many people by being herself and doing what she enjoys.
