Archimedes once said, “Give me place to stand on, and I will move the earth”. I desire to leverage my passion to achieve new computational approaches to produce greater results with reduced resources (space, time). To answer the questions like Can something be efficient, yet small, easy and still perform herculean tasks.
My area of interest is the study and contribution towards field of algorithms and optimized solutions. So I will undertake postgraduate study in Computer Science in Stony Brook University. To achieve this I plan to study the relevant disciplines which will enable me to accomplish what I desire. In my work experience and academics I have constantly strive towards this goal.
After securing 205th rank in All India Entrance Exam, I got admitted in the National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra,INDIA --an institute of national eminence-- one of the top 20 institutes in India. My under-graduate syllabi has exposed me to all the core areas of computer science like data structures and algorithms, software engineering, operating systems, compiler design, automata theory networks and network security. These courses have provided me a good foundation in the core concepts.
As part of final year project, I proposed and implemented “Hop count method for detection and countering DDoS attacks” which is a packet filtering algorithm based on the IEEE research paper to prevent DDoS attacks. When I was in middle school, I had totally no idea of what Computer Science is, but I was pretty proficient in using computers at that age. The only thing that I knew about Computer Science is that one of my aunts is in that field and that’s all, nor of my parents are in that major. Not until in High School that I got the sense of what programming is like. I was taught basic simple codings and I really enjoyed it and thought that the class was actually quite fun. But the class didn’t give me any sense of the important real-world applications of Computer Science. Not until recently as I am in the Computer Science major, I started to really have the real idea and to gain real passion for the field. Computer Science is not all about programming.

Computer Science is a vast research field that is continuously evolving. It is acknowledged that scientific research depends on grants. This type of funding often comes from an external source. All areas of research; whether it be medical, financial, or meteorological use trend analysis to study the relationships on publication papers and the development of “x” field. Furthermore, the authors of this article propose that scientific research in the field of Computer Science is greatly influenced by funding opportunities. Apirak Hoonlor, Boleslaw K. Szymanski, and Mohammed J. Zaki wrote an article entitled “Trends in Computer Science Research” which appeared in the article Communications of the ACM. The authors back up their arguments with three key points of observation: new keywords that appear in grants result in new publications using those same keywords, Computer Science is continuing to go through changes, and lastly scientists are required to switch their focus of study roughly every 10 years due to evolving technology. This article examines the evolution of trends in Computer Science research and analyzes how funding correlates to publication topics.

It is the function of the navigation menu to aid users in locating what material is being sought. According to Eccher (2015, p.70), usability and maintainability are two important concerns when creating the navigation menus of a website and that the menu is a key element of effective website design (Eccher, 2015, p. 70). Usability as it relates to navigation bars will be discussed below, while maintainability will be addressed not only as it applies to navigating a website, but also as it relates to keeping website current for users to able to navigate the site.
A fascination for Science & Technology and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering. The power of research and delivering it for the growth of Society is what makes me interested in the technology side of science. I choose to major Computer science Engineering with an intense urge to delve into this challenging field. During my under graduation program I learned the various fundamentals of Computer science Engineering which together with practical course works reinforced my interest.

Being the top student in my secondary school (with 85.5%), I got admitted into Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering at MIT, Ujjain. My curriculum enhanced my knowledge in Microprocessors, Digital Signal Processing, and Analytical and Industrial Instrumentation. Having a strong zeal towards Information System and Computer Programming, I have also learned different languages like C, C++, SQL and PL/SQL.
The mind must never be kept idle because of its tremendous capacity to absorb and learn. It was only after careful consideration of my aptitude, interests and experiences gained while pursuing my under graduation in the field of Electronics and Communications Engineering that I have decided to pursue my masters in the field of Computer Science. The question here might raise why I am opting for Computer Science when I’m from Electronics background. While in my under-graduation, I always had a doubt how the systems are interrelated using networks and all the things related to Computers. While reasoning my intentions to pursue MS in Computer Science I would like to throw some light on my career till now, I always fancied myself with Computers right from my childhood and thought of becoming a Software Engineer got implanted in my mind at an early age. A career in Engineering seemed the most challenging and logical extension of my abilities.

Restrictions can be used in the software which monitors what people are doing on their computers for example in a school making sure children don’t go on inappropriate websites.

As the years passed my eagerness grew and so did my thirst to attain higher education and now is the perfect time for me to ignite the spark in me.
