Recommended: Importance of skills in basketball

When we talk about basketball sport, things that comes to our mind are dunking, dribbling, shooting a jump shot, and passing. But we often miss one essential skill in basketball, shooting a free throw. In basketball games, free throw could determine the outcome of a basketball game. Shooting a free throw also consider as one of the most important skill that every basketball players need to have. Unfortunately, not every basketball players have the skill to shoot free throw because shooting a free throw is not as simple as it looks. It takes many hours of practices, and to be good at it, not only the basketball players need to have confidence, but they also need to have good concentration and proper technique.
As an NBA player, many people consider Shaquille O'neal as one of the most skilled NBA players, but one thing he struggle with is shooting free throws. O'neal's free throw shoots career percentage is 52.7%, and he misses more than 5000 free throws in his career.
