Throughout the entertainment industry in South Korea, there are multiple entertainment companies. However, there are the main and well-known companies that have produced legendary stars for the consumers’ worldwide. The most well known companies included SM Entertainment, YG Entertainment, and lastly JYP Entertainment. For something to be considered art, the consumer should consider the effort and work being prepared upon. Another consideration would include the presentation of the art piece itself. Lastly, who the artist is should also be considered.
Due to the large amount of entertainment companies, there are numerous girl groups and guy groups both striving to become the next big Hallyu star(s). From SM Entertainment, the most popular would be Girls Generation. Right behind these 9 girls would be TVXQ (2003), Super Junior (2005), SHINee(2008), f(x)(2009), and the most recent would be EXO (2012). As for YG Entertainment there are Se7en (2003), Big Bang (2006), 2NE1 (2009) and PSY (2010). Lastly is JYP Entertainment, the stars includes, founder and star Park Jin-Young (1994), Wonder Girls (2007), 2AM (2008, 2PM (2008), miss A (2010), and lastly 15& (2012). The groups among the 3 companies are known to be rivals. Girls Generation is still known to be a rival of 2NE1 till this day. Unfortunately, prior to becoming rivals or a star even, these entertainment companies requires “years of training as trainees” (JangMinHo), where each member are required to expertise their dancing skills as well as their vocals.
In order to reach the success of a Hallyu star, each must become a trainee of an entertainment company at a very young age. Some say the younger the better. Unfortunately, becoming a trainee at a very young age is not the on...

... (Jeff). With this, the girls got a boost of popularity and is finally known world wide. Going from teenagers in their trainee years to Hallyu starts may not be easy. The whole process involved hundreds, maybe even thousands of practice time and sacrifices in order to be where they are now. The transformation physically has changed and their talents have also improved. Luckily, behind the camera and off the stage, these idols are still who there are before the popularity of kpop.
